Saw Palmetto is a species of palm tree, native to the warmer climates of the Southeastern United States. The ripe berry from this tree is used to make an extract - available in tablet, liquid, and tea form - consumed widely in the U.S. as an alternative herbal remedy to improve prostate health, prevent hair loss and balance hormone levels.
Benefits of Saw Palmetto
Some encouraging potential benefits of Saw Palmetto include:
Enhanced urinary tract behavior. Urinary tract symptoms are common in older men and include difficulty urinating or incontinence. Adding Zenesis Labs’ Saw Palmetto to one’s diet/supplement regime may improve urinary function and decrease inflammation of the prostate gland.
Decreasing prostate inflammation. For Men, adding Zenesis Labs’ Saw Palmetto to one’s supplement regime may also decrease inflammation of the prostate gland as Saw Palmetto contains antioxidants that may prevent damage to cells, and possibly protect against chronic disease. Side Effects
Side effects are very rare, although headache, nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness have been reported. DO NOT self-treat for BPH with Saw Palmetto. Saw Palmetto may affect the blood's ability to clot, and could interfere with blood-thinning drugs, including Warfarin (Coumadin), Clopidogrel (Plavix) and Aspirin. Saw Palmetto may reduce the number of estrogen and androgen receptors, and thus have hormone-like effects. It may make oral contraceptives less effective, raising the risk of unplanned pregnancy.

Do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. This product is manufactured and packaged in a facility which may also process milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and crustacean shellfish. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if safety seal is damaged or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.
